My husband Tim and I purchased our dream property in 2013. This home could not have come at a better time for our family as we needed more than ever to have a focus on something that kept us busy. Now, we purchased our dream property, not home! This home was practically gutted and remodeled by yours truly :) Once our remodel was mostly complete, my favorite part of any remodel came and it was time to furnish! I shopped until I dropped and purchased most items that I could refurbish or add my touch. When it was time to purchase the larger items such as our bed, nightstands, dressers, etc... we were either going to spend an arm and a leg on solid wood furniture or make our own! So that's just what we did. We had several friends and family who wanted us to make them custom pieces and that is how Silo Chic started. And because I love to shop, I added clothes to the collection for fun.
